Booking Terms & Conditions - Rosedale Guest House
Bookings for Rosedale Guest House are subject to the terms and conditions set out below together with a non-refundable 50% deposit paid at the time of booking by a credit or debit card. Receipt of this deposit confirms your booking.
- We can only accept bookings made by adults aged 18 years or over. When a booking has been accepted written confirmation by post or by email is your proof of reservation. In the event of a booking made on your date of arrival, the entry in our booking diary containing your full contact details will be considered proof that we have communicated with you and accepted your booking.
- Full payment is accepted via debit/credit card or cash only. Card payments will incur a transaction charge of £1.00 for debit card, 5% for credit card.
- Cancellation
- 7 days cancellation notice is required. If less than 7 days cancellation notice is given, the full cost of your stay and that of those booked under your name will be charged to your debit/credit card in line with the legislation for tourist accommodation unless the room(s) are re-sold. The initial 50% deposit in this instance is non-refundable. Card transaction costs will apply as in section 2 above. We strongly urge that you cover the cost of your booking with Holiday Insurance.
- We reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time before the date on which your stay begins. We would only expect to do so for some other unforeseen reason. In this unlikely event, we shall refund in full all money received by us for the booking and do our utmost to find you alternative quality accommodation in the area.
- If a booking has been accepted on the basis of false statements made by you on arrival or during your stay, we reserve the right to cancel your booking forthwith.
- We will in no way discriminate against you on the grounds of gender, race, disability and sexual orientation. If you have a disability you will be accommodated wherever possible based upon the information provided at the time of booking.
- The number of people sleeping in the property must not exceed the number booked in at any given time.
- If guest(s) refuse to accept the accommodation booked on arrival, or to accept a suitable alternative, we reserve the right to treat this as a cancellation.
- If guest(s) decide to check out early, the full amount of the original booking will be charged.
- Entrance to the Guest House is from 15.00pm onwards on the day of arrival and departure on the final day of stay should be no later than 10.00am. Earlier arrival is available by prior agreement only.
- Smoking, eating take-out food or consuming alcohol is not permitted within the bedrooms or in the Guest House. Failure to comply will incur an excess fee of up to £100 for additional cleaning. Drunken and disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated. If the property is damaged by any reckless or deliberate means, a full charge will be levied to cover the cost of the damage caused.
- Any payment due owing to cancellation, curtailment or damage will be made on same credit/debit card account number given at the time of booking. The card holder will be notified of any such transaction.
- We will not accept any claims for damage to clothing during the washing, drying or ironing process.
- We regret we cannot accept children under 5yrs or pets, other than guide dogs.
